Particle Board

Particle board is also known as particleboard, low-density fibreboard (LDF), and chipboard – is an engineered wood product manufactured from wood chips and a synthetic resin or other suitable binder, which is pressed and extruded.

Particle board is a different type of fiberboard that uses machined wood flakes and offers more strength.

According to formaldehyde content, it can be divided into three levels:

E0—Formaldehyde emission approaches zero.

E1—Formaldehyde emission is less than 0.1 ppm.

E2—Formaldehyde emission is between 0.1~0.2 ppm.

It can be divided into three levels according to the moisture-proof level:

V313—The expansion coefficient is less than 6%. (Waterproof board)

V100—The expansion coefficient is between 6% and 12%. (Moisture-proof board)

V20—The expansion coefficient is greater than 12%. (Ordinary board)

Characteristic

Particle board is cheaper than traditional wood and plywood, and has higher density and more stable quality. Particle board usually will be used to replace traditional wood when cost is considered and strength and beauty are not important.

The density of the pellet plates includes different grades, the greater the density, the stronger the strength which will be more difficult to lock the screw.
